Samba Drumming Workshop

Come along and immerse yourself in the carnival street band vibe!

These hour long workshops are open to anyone aged 8yrs and above and will introduce you to the Surdo (Brazillian bass drum), Repiniques and Caxias (Brazillian side drums). In just one hour you will learn ton play as part of a band, using infectious rhythms to create multi-part pieces.

Alpha Dance Academy presents "Movies & Musicals"

Tap, Ballet, Cheerleading Jazz and Hip-hop are the varying disciplines of dance on display for this year's Spring performance at Loretto Theatre. There is only one word to describe the music in this programme - gorgeous. Elgar's Introducton and Allegro is redolent of the wistful Edwardian world just before World War One. Webern's early romantic movement and Mozart's sparkling Divertimento lead us to Tchaikovsky's fabulously rich Serenade, full of lush melodies and wonderfully exciting music. We can't wait for this concert.
