Formerly a pupil at St Mary’s Music School, oboist Katherine Bryer worked with groups such as the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony and Philharmonia Orchestra before returning to Scotland in 2022 to join the SCO as oboist and cor anglais player. Her programme includes Poulenc’s charming Sonata as well as lesser known but equally charming works to show off the sheer beauty of sound which the oboe and the cor anglais can offer.
