Bite-sized Concerts at Lunchtime

Our lunchtime recitals include established and emerging, prizewinning performers with sparkling programmes of music, specially selected for you to enjoy. Relax at lunchtime in the beautiful Northesk Parish Church, Musselburgh. A light lunch of soup and a sandwich is served in the Church Hall adjacent to the church.
Classical music is for everyone to enjoy, no previous knowledge is
needed to enjoy our concerts. If you can't make it for lunch, you are
welcome to book for the concert only.

Chausson: Poéme
Ysaye: Caprice d'aprés l'Étude en forme de valse
Ysae was known as 'The King of the Violin' to his contemporaries and wrote numerous works to show off his spectacular musicianship. Chausson's Poéme is one of the most gorgeous of all violin solos and the programme opens with one of the very greatest baroque masterpieces. Emma Baird is one of the most exciting violinists of today.
